In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football
and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both. Dallas Cole loathes
football. That's what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in
second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put
the playing field (and the players) in her past. But life doesn't always go as
planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad
enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make
the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas
finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again. Carson
McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting
line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But
when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than
tested. It's obliterated. Dallas doesn't know Carson is on the team. Carson
doesn't know that Dallas is his new coach's daughter. And neither of them know
how to walk away from the attraction they feel. (Goodreads)
I really liked this book. I was in the mood for a good New
Adult novel, and All Lined Up did not disappoint! This is the kind of book that
you would read to take your mind off of things for a while. It is very easy to
lose yourself in this world that Cora has created. It is extremely entertaining
and I was never bored with the story. The things Dallas and Carson get into are
just so fun that you wish you could take Dallas’ place. This book is also
really emotional, for me anyway. Dallas’ story is so heartfelt and you can
practically feel her struggle when you read this book. I just wanted to reach
through the book and hug her half the time and Carson is so sweet and
protective that you can't help but fall in love with him. The story is also
very relatable; the things Dallas and Carson go through are things you can
easily see yourself having to deal with. This book also has a really inspiring
message about it too. It is also about getting over past hurt and letting
yourself love again in spite of your past. I think romance novels are amazing,
but even more so if they leave you with a little something to think about. I
highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a book that will make you
forget your surroundings for a while and for anyone who just wants to get their
hands on a great New Adult novel. Five out of five stars!
Ahhh.. now I wanna read this book even more!!
